Richard Stanfield takes the helm at Imagine Communications

San Diego, Calif. – August 9, 2010 – Imagine Communications, a leading innovator in advanced digital video solutions, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Richard Stanfield to Chief Executive Officer.

Stanfield has over twenty-five years of experience with six successful back-to-back technology start-up companies in the communications and digital media sectors. Prior to Imagine, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Envivio, Inc. Before that, Stanfield was EVP Field Operations with Modulus Video, which was sold to Motorola in 2007. From 1999 to 2005, he was Co-Founder and EVP Field Operations of Turin Networks, a Sequoia Capital funded, multi-service Ethernet switching platform that sold to major service providers around the world. Prior to Turin Networks, Stanfield was VP of Sales and an executive officer for AFC, which consummated a highly successful IPO in 1996. In addition, Stanfield held executive positions with two other successful companies: Status Computer and DSC Communications. He holds a B.S. degree from Texas A&M University.
