Lifelike, Talking Gizmoz Characters Let AIM Users Express Their Digital Identities Every Time They IM
SAN FRANCISCO, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Gizmoz, http://www.gizmoz.com, a social expression and user-generated media service, today announced an agreement with AOL to allow users of the AIM service, the largest instant messaging community in the U.S., to create 3D, talking Gizmoz characters to personalize their messages. The highly-engaging, animated Gizmoz Expressions can be customized, using a digital photograph and personal message, to trigger verbal and facial reactions as key words are typed in the instant message window.
"Teaming up with AOL allows us to introduce Gizmoz characters to millions of AIM users who can now add a hilarious, lifelike quality to their virtual identity," said Eyal Gever, chief executive officer and founder of Gizmoz. "By incorporating personal photos and speech, Gizmoz Expressions can look and sound just like the person who created them. They're full of personality, totally entertaining and provide a unique way for AIM users to express themselves online."
To create animated, talking Gizmoz Expressions, visit http://aim.gizmoz.com. Simply upload a personal photograph or select characters and accessories from an extensive library of costumes, hair, makeup and more. Gizmoz has already animated nearly 50 trigger words, such as "blabla," "ttyl," "rbay" and "brb." Additionally, users can choose to add up to five new trigger words and record a personal message to go along with them. Gizmoz characters react and behave according to the expressions typed within the message window.
